Milk, cheese, ice cream, butter, yogurt About Us Our small local registered Holstein herd of 60 cows is on about 40 acres of pasture as long as the weather permits and always pampered and given the best possible feed and care. We have cows that live and milk well into their teenage years. We pride ourselves in our family run operation and we also show our cows at state and national shows. Our pastures could be certified organic however we prefer the term 'beyond organic' which refers to having all of our feed and supplies being provided locally and with always having the health and well being of our cows as the highest priority. Unfortunately, we do not meet all of the organic standards. Our local, natural milk is so fresh, our cows don't even know it's missing! Practices (our standards for raising or making our products) Our family feeds, cares for, and milks the cows. We do not use rBST. We are always in control of your milk until it is in your hands. You are welcome to contact us and come and visit our farm and our happy healthy cows anytime and see where your milk comes from. Our processing practices follow along the same lines as our farming practices. We process our milk with the most energy efficient equipment available and we pasteurize at the lowest legal temperature approved by the USDA as to not affect the flavor and quality of the milk |
