1) Magic Valley and Wood River Valley unfiltered, unprocessed raw honey. About Us VeeBee Honey and Pollination is a small family apiary that has been in business since 2003. We work to keep our bees healthy and happy in spite of the many challenges that face beekeepers today. Our operation is located a few miles north of Buhl. Scott (the beekeeper) took on a partner this year. Jake is fitting in quickly. Norma (Scott's Mom) manages the business. Andrea (Scott's sister) is a jack-of-all-trades. Between all of us, we manage to keep the business going. During the honey season, our hives are located in yards ranging from Roseworth, Castleford and Buhl to Bliss, Hailey, Picabo, Carey and north of Ketchum, where the bees collect nectar from clover, alfalfa, wild flowers and many other floral sources. We pride ourselves in bringing the very finest quality raw honey to the consumer. Like honey from all parts of the world, the flavor of our honey is dependent on floral source, moisture, temperature, and how rapidly it is harvested. As with fine wines, the color and flavor of honey depends on weather and the type of nectar and pollen the bees are able to gather. This year's honey may not taste like last years, but we promise, you will not be disappointed. Browse through our Products for Sale Practices (our standards for raising or making our products) During the honey season our bees are not fed any artificial foods (sugar or corn syrup) nor are the hives treated with medications or treatments. Once the honey is harvested, it is extracted and bottled in our own honey house. We do not process or filter the honey once it is removed from the honeycomb. |
