MEAT About Us Weiser River Signature Beef LLC grows its own beef and utilizes that of other Idaho ranchers who raise livestock in Weiser, Midvale, Cambridge, Indian Valley, Council, and New Meadows. Their beef is made up of Angus, Hereford, and Simmental cross-bred livestock pastured on the fertile lands of the Weiser River Valley. Because of the local nature of its operation, Weiser River Signature Beef LLC can verify the Age and Source on each and every animal that goes through its program. All of its livestock have “low mileage”, which means they travel less miles to the consumer. The beef is finished in Weiser, where they eat wholesome, natural corn, chopped hay, and grain. After finishing in Weiser, the beef is processed in Nampa, aged for a minimum of 7-14 days, and then is available to consumers via local retail grocery outlets, restaurants, and direct marketing. Weiser River Signature Beef LLC is proud to offer their products through their NEVER EVER Program: The livestock raised and purchased have NEVER EVER been fed or injected with any hormones, growth promotants, or antibiotics. The livestock raised and purchased have NEVER EVER been given feed or supplements containing animal by-products. The two owners of Weiser River Signature Beef, LLC, are Victor and Chrity Ward. Victor and Christy have a long history tied to agriculture and ranching. Victor has more than 40 years of experience in the livestock industry raising sheep and cattle in the Cambridge and Indian Valley areas. He grew up on a ranch near Cambridge, 30 miles from Weiser. Victor maintains a lamb flock and cow-calf pairs on irrigated and dryland pastures, raising all of his livestock naturally, without the use of hormone implants, antibiotics, animal byproducts in feed, and with humane and ethical treatment of the animal. Christy was raised in Mercer Island, Washington and came to Idaho to work for a land and title company in Council. She and Victor have been married for more than 10 years and she shares equal responsibilities on the ranch in addition to owning and operating her own title company.
