I am in my 11th year of operation. I am passionate about food and growing good food. I have enjoyed participating in Idaho's Bounty but as of June 14, 2010, I am going to take a break from the cooperative. I hope to return for the winter season. Browse through our Products for Sale Practices (our standards for raising or making our products) I use a lot of integrated pest management on my 7-acre farm here in the Treasure Valley. I have blended my own Bug Bloom Blend seed mix which is planted amongst the various other seed crops I grow. This blend includes 7 different types of flowering plants to attract a wide range of beneficial insects and pollinators. The good bugs are lured into the field by the plant's nectar and while hanging out in my field hunt for some of the bad bugs: aphids, mites, lygus, etc. In addition, I also use a lot of cover cropping. In the fall I plant hairy vetch and grain, and during the summer I sow buckwheat. These are incorporated into the soil prior to planting to maintain good soil health. |

Feher Ozon Sweet Red Paprika
Order number of jars.
A very aromatic and sweet paprika, Feher Ozon can be used as a spice rub on meats, in casseroles and egg dishes. Processed and packaged at the University of Idaho Food Technology certified kitchen. Glass jar contains .5 ounce certified organic paprika. We grow these peppers for seed, and then process the fruits into the paprika.

This is a hard red spring wheat - the kind preferred by bread bakers but it's been successfully used in a lot of other recipes.
