Product Types: All-purpose soaps made from vegetable glycerin produced during biodiesel manufacture

About Us
Every batch of soap is brewed with nourishing essential oils and vegetable glycerin. We’ve balanced our formula to cleanse effectively, moisturize naturally, and smell really good.

Made from simple, biodegradable ingredients, our soap is part of a zero-waste circle. We fuel our sustainable land care business with home-made biodiesel. The chemical process that transforms fryer oil into fuel leaves glycerin as a byproduct. We distill that glycerin, wash and filter it, and cook it into Boise Soap Co. Glycerin Gel Soap and Boise Soap Co. Glycerin Liquid Cleanser!

Ingredients
Glycerin, vegetable oils, water and pure essential oils such as Lavendula angustifolia (lavender) oil, Mentha piperita (peppermint) oil, citrus oil, or tea tree oil.

Practices (our standards for raising or making our products)
Our soap is produced through a sustainable, zero-waste process. We fuel our sustainable land care business with biodiesel, a cleaner-burning alternative fuel derived from natural vegetable oils—in our case, waste oil from local cafes and hotels. The chemical process that transforms this waste oil into fuel leaves glycerin as a byproduct. We cook down that glycerin byproduct, wash and filter it, add lye, essential oils and wham-o: the eco-friendliest all-purpose cleanser is borne.

We source additional ingredients for lavender and peppermint hand soaps from local growers and producers. All ingredients are biodegradable and petroleum-free.
