Salad Mix, Lettuce, Chard, Kale, Braising Greens, Spinach, Peas, Carrots, Beets, Tomatoes, & Cucumbers for 2011 About Us Our 40-acre family farm is located 18 miles South of Ketchum - just West of Bellevue. We produce salad greens and many other seasonal vegetables throughout the Spring, Summer and Fall. Our produce is certified organic by the Idaho State Department of Agriculture, meaning that we don’t put any junk on our veggies: no synthetic fertilizers, no pesticides, no B.S. (Bad Stuff). The veggies that we grow are so good for two reasons: They are fresh - We cut our goods within two days of your purchase so they last longer in your fridge; They are chosen for flavor & visual appeal - We are continually searching for the best tasting varieties to satisfy (and maybe surprise) your senses. The land where the produce is grown is bountiful because of our generous fertile soil. We take care of this most precious asset and attempt to “give back” to the land that gives us so much. We manage the land so that we are consistently rotating our crops in the garden. In addition, we add nutrients and minimize depletion through methods such as cover cropping and inter-planting. Thank you for reading this little blurb about us, we hope that you enjoy your produce. Browse through our Products for Sale Practices (our standards for raising or making our products) We are proud to be certified "organic" by Idaho State Dpt. of Agriculture. We care for our land and it returns our energy with bountiful produce. To ensure the safety of our produce, we have consulted and worked closely with South Central District Health. Furthermore, Judd McMahan has a current Food Handelers Permit, Good Agricultural Practices Certificate, HACCP Certificate, and has attended BPCS. Food Safety is no joke around here! SAFE, LOCAL, ORGANIC. |
