what we sell
about us
We are a non-profit corporation, started as an educational community outreach. Our aim is to feed the people with healthy products, empower them with knowledge to support their own health, and share peace of mind that comes from living in harmony with nature's principles.
Over the past few years, our focus has been on producing whole grain baked goods for people in the community, as well as whole foods and lifestyle classes. We value the personal contact with the community, and thoroughly enjoy making a difference in the lives of our "neighbors"--one person at a time.
The grains we have available were grown by one of our members in Filer, using organic methods and non-GMO seeds.
practices
The grains are grown using organic methods, but are not certified as such.
The original seed is high-quality and non-GMO.

Soil management: Organic mulch used (The green manure was from our own cover crop and the fish compost was from Clearwater Fish Compost in Hansen.
Land practices: We use minimal plowing in order to protect the soil quality. We use green manure, also saving and reusing our grain stubble from the previous year.
Water management: Irrigated from the canal company (water shares). We use gravity feed pipes.

Thanks to our fiscal sponsor, Wood River Resource Conservation and Development.
